Akwa United chairman, Paul Bassey has told SportingLife that he is  sure that the Promise Keepers’players would bounce back from their insipid performance in Owerri last weekend with a win against Kano Pillars in Uyo on Sunday.

The Uyo side were beaten 2-0 after they capitulated in the second half through the goals of Omoh Johnson and Chinedu Efugh.  Bassey  in a chat with SportingLife noted that his boys never played to win against Heartland.

Bassey, who is a member of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF)’s Technical Committee, revealed that the players are aware of the task before them and they have assured him that they are condemned to beat Pillars on Sunday.

Akwa United are seventh on the log with 32 points from 23 matches.
